از گياهان دارويي منتخب سازمان بهداشت جهاني (W.H.O) است كه براي آن اثر ضد سرماخوردگي ودرمان عفونت تنفسي ومجاري ادراري مطرح شده است

مواردمصرف :

آنتي بيوتيك ،محرك سيستم ايمني ، ضد آلرژي ، تونيك لنفي بوميان آمريكا از اين گياه براي درمان مارگزيدگي ، تب وزخم هاي قديمي مزمن استفاده مي كردند . مهاجران هم به زودي آن را به عنوان داروي خانگي براي سرماخوردگي و آنفلونزا به كار مي بردند ، ودرنزد پزشكان آمريكايي قرن نوزدهم شهرت ومقبوليت داشت. در 50 سال گذشته به دليل خواص ضد ويروسي . ضد قارچي وضد باكتريايي خود شهرت جهاني يافته ودر درمان ايدز هم به كار رفته است . گل مخروطي پرورشي معمولا از انواع پوپورآ است

اندام مورداستفاده ريشه : 

معمولا درتنتور يا پودر براي درمان تقريبا هر نوع عفونت والتهاب به كار مي رود ، درعفونت هاي راجعه كليوي بسيارمفيداست.براي درمان سرماخوردگي وآبريزش بيني  ريشه پس از گل دادن جمع آوري  ، شسته ، خرد شده وخشك شود. گل كمتر از ريشه در گياه پزشكي امروزي كاربرددارد .

غرغره:

10ميلي ليتر تنتور در يك ليوان آب  جهت گلو درد

كپسول :

درشروع عفونت هاي حاد ، مانند سرماخوردگي ، آنفولانزا وعفونت هاي كليوي و ادراري ، روزي سه كپسول 200ميلي گرمي

جوشانده ريشه :

درمرحله حاد عفونت ها هر يك تا دوساعت 10 ميلي ليتر مصرف كنيد .

تنتور :

براي درمان آنفولانزا، لرز وعفونتهاي ادراري ، درچند روز اول بروز علائم حاد ، هر 2 تا 3 ساعت بين 2 تا 5 ميلي ليتر مصرف كنيد . براي عفونتهاي مزمن ، دوزهاي استاندارد را مصرف كنيد و از داروهاي گياهي مناسب ديگر ، نظير بوكو وبيد گياه (مرغ)Agropyrn repensبراي عفونت هاي كليه ، يا شبدر براي تب  ، نيز همراه آن استفاده نماييد . براي مارگزيدگي يا مسموميت غذايي مي توانيد از آن با دوزده ميلي ليتر استفاده كنيد .

Usnea is the generic and scientific name for several species of lichen in the family Parmeliaceae, that generally grow hanging from tree branches, resembling grey or greenish hair. داروسازان  پيشنهادمي كنند كه بيماران مبتلا به سرماخوردگي در حد مناسبي استراحت داشته باشند و مايعات فراوان ميل كنند. مصرف سوپ داغ جوجه و نوشيدني مي تواند بيمار را تا حدودي تسكين بخشد. توليد بخار آب در اتاق و يا دستگاه هاي بخور آب خالص يابه صورت تركيب بااكاليپتوس ،حل نمودن ترموراب درآب جوش واستشمام بخارآن،استفاده ازقلم بيني،شستشوي حلق وبيني بامحلول كلرورسديم %0/9 (سرم شستشو)به عنوان بهترين ماده ضدآلرژن ،تحريكات بيني و گلو را كه توسط هواي خشك و آلرژن هاايجاد شده است، آرامش مي بخشد در حال حاضر هيچ درماني براي سرماخوردگي معمولي وجود ندارد. يكي از محققين پيشنهاد مي كند كه مخلوطي از يك داروي ضد ويروس با يك داروي ضد التهاب در مرحلة ابتداي سرماخوردگي ممكن است مؤثرترين روش براي درمان سرماخوردگي باشد، ولي اكثر بيماران آن قدر صبر مي كنند تا علايم آن توسعه و پيشرفت يابد و سپس اقدام به درمان مي كنند. پيشگيري مؤثر و درمان سرماخوردگي معمولي تلاش هاي بيشتري را در آينده نياز دارد.درحال حاضربهترين پيشنهاد،تقويت سيستم ايمني قبل ازرسيدن فصول سرد بامصرف ويتامين ث ،شربت آلوئه ورا،تركيبات روي وگياه آكيناسه مي باشد

نسل اول آنتي هيستامين ها

ديفن هيدرامين، كلرفنيرامين، كلماستين، پرومتازين، هيدروكسي زين،كتوتيفن،سيپروهپتادين اين گروه داروئي چربي دوست (ليپوفيل) هستند و از سد خوني – مغزي عبور مي كنند به همين دليل اثرخواب آوري ورخوت دارند.داراي اثرات كولي نرژيك واضحي هستند ممكن است موجب كاهش ترشحات بزاق و نايژه شوند از اين رو مي توانند اثر نامطلوبي بر بيماران دچار آسم غير آلرژيك داشته باشند

نسل دوم آ نتي هيستامين ها

استميزول، ميزولاستين، لوراتادين، ستيريزين و اكريواستين اين گروه داروئي چربي دوست (ليپوفيل) نيستند و از سد خوني – مغزي عبور نمي كنند به همين دليل داراي اثرات خواب آوري كمتري نسبت به نسل اول دارند احتمال خواب آلودگي يا عوارض آنتي كولي نرژيكي (خشكي دهان، تاري ديد، يبوست) چنداني ندارندلوراتادين در وضعيت هاي آلرژيك كه با علائمي همچون آب ريزش بيني، كهير و كونژونكتيويت همراه است مصرف داردايجاد خواب آلودگي نمي كندمهمترين موارد مصرف اين دارو رينيت آلرژيك (به منظور بهبود علائم نازال و غير نازال) و كهير مزمن ايديوپاتيك مي باشد
